Building on the success of printed exercise book covers and folders / Bold new motifs / Margins up to three times higher than with unprinted products

Printed exercise book covers (new Splash motif illustrated above) from HERMA combine quality and functionality with contemporary design. Manufactured without plasticizers, they are also non-hazardous to health.

For many years, HERMA has been demonstrating with its printed exercise book covers that branded products generate bigger margins. "Compared with plain articles, resellers can boost margins by a factor of three with printed products," insists HERMA managing director Sven Schneller. The products combine quality and functionality with contemporary design and, unlike many no-name school stationery items, are environment-friendly and non-hazardous to health. In view of the concept's outstanding success, HERMA is launching new motifs for its up-to-the-minute exercise book covers and folders in 2011.

Every cover an original
With its bright splashes of colour and matching tones, the Splash motif transforms a plain exercise book into an attention-getter. Since the motif is repeatedly displaced in the continuous printing process, every exercise book cover is a genuine original. The polypropylene (PP) film is not only strong, but also free from plasticizers, so that the covers are hard-wearing, durable and non-hazardous to health. Five different colours are available for individual school subjects, and a blank label is already attached. The Splash A4 exercise book covers are available from February 2011, either in packaging units of 25, in packs of 5, or in a new, sturdy counter display that presents the covers to full effect.

Fabulous folders
Quattro folders are styled to make school a happier place for students in the 10 to 16-year-old age range. The cover is decorated with an irregular check and all-over floral design, but the spine and back are plain coloured. Like the exercise book covers, the A4 folders are made of plasticizer-free and strong PP film, so that they are both durable and non-hazardous to health. The folders are available from February 2011 in five colours, either in packaging units of 25, in packs of 5, or in a counter display that presents them to full effect.

"Since we are probably the only supplier to offer printed exercise book covers and folders, we enable resellers to make an effective and distinctive impression in a market populated by plain, monotone no-name products," remarks Schneller. "Furthermore, the motifs were piloted among children and prompted impulse buying. Youngsters are attracted by the fashionable designs, and parents are impressed by the high quality, suitability for purpose and non-hazardous credentials, which are not always offered by no-name products."
