The paperless office remains a pipedream as retailers in Germany post annual sales of around 120 million files and more than one million packs of file spine labels. And the year-on-year sales pattern is steady. In many cases, information held on file can be retrieved at least as quickly as the digital data on computers. HERMA is now making file management even simpler and more flexible, by introducing colour to its range of file labels with innovative Movables® technology. The two most popular label formats, namely 192 x 38 mm for all customary narrow files, and 192 x 61 mm for all wide files, are available with immediate effect in yellow, red, blue and green. Like all labels that embrace Movables® technology, the new variants are easy to reposition and can be removed, for reuse elsewhere if required, without leaving any residue. Users benefit not only from neat lettering, but also from a longer file service life – the files can be relabelled many times while retaining a fresh appearance. Reusing files is kind to the environment as well. While the paperless office is still awaited, millions of documents and written records will require attention and filing for a long time to come.
