Consumers directed to dealers' online shops even faster and through multiple channels. Number of visitors has quadrupled since 2008

By way of the new, modern HERMA website, consumers reach the affiliated dealers' online shops even more quickly and via numerous routes.

By way of its new, modern website, HERMA shows consumers the direct way to its trading partners' online shops even more quickly and via numerous routes. "No matter whether they use the search mask, navigation tools or the LabelScout product finder, prospective customers now reach a dealer much more directly than beforehand," insists Stefan Schempp, head of e‑commerce at HERMA.  Direct route to higher salesThe thoroughly revised website, dedicated to labels and other products for both private and commercial users, recently went live at www.herma.com. In order to align the web sales activities more effectively with target groups, the contents of the self-adhesive materials, industrial labels and labelling machines segments have been allocated to new, discrete domains. Another entirely new feature is the overview of the complete label range, including individual navigation headings for the most popular products, aligned with the revised assortment structure. Searches performed via the search mask are supported by the very latest system. It makes proposal relating to the search and allows the results to be filtered quickly and easily. Once the user has found the appropriate product, a commerce connector takes him to the affiliated dealers' online shops.  E-commerce pioneer"Since 2008 the number of visitors to our website has quadrupled. This redesign will give us another significant boost," says Schempp confidently. The new site addresses many of the wishes expressed by online users (cf. the study by DMC entitled Im Focus): it contains extensive additional information (desired by 85 % of the surveyed internet users) and a variety of product views with a zoom function (73 %), and automatically displays not only similar, but also the most popular articles. "This relaunch further underscores the pioneering role we play in e-commerce in our branch," comments Schempp. HERMA's web-based service offering is unique in the industry and has already been awarded several prizes for innovation.
