HERMA AutoSplicer
Fully Automatic Splicing Process for Nonstop Labeling
- Uninterrupted roll change: The HERMA AutoSplicer automatically connects the nearly empty label roll to a prepared spare roll, keeping the labeling process running without downtime.
- Higher system availability: Reduces production-related downtime caused by manual roll changes and unlocks significant productivity potential.
- Automated and standardized processes: Fewer manual interventions, greater process reliability, and improved planning in production.
- Powerful and versatile: Reliable label band connection even at speeds exceeding 110 m/min, as well as for paper, film, transparent, and multi-layer label materials.
- Easy to integrate and user-friendly: Flexible retrofitting into existing labeling systems, intuitive machine control, and optimal process visualization via a modern HMI with a user-friendly GUI.
- New—Optional cutting system: For the first time, this enables automated roll changes even for label webs that are firmly attached to the roll core.

Note: The additional investment in a HERMA EasyCutter is also worthwhile for an uninterrupted process with seamless changes. This is because the EasyCutter makes it possible to extract the empty carrier tape and shred it into small pieces. The scraps are automatically collected and can then be recycled. There is absolutely no need to manually remove the wound-up empty carrier tape. With a splicer and the HERMA EasyCutter, downtime caused by roll changes can always be reduced to a minimum—and in the vast majority of cases, even avoided entirely.

Additional nonstop solutions for uninterrupted labeling
With its nonstop labeling solutions, HERMA enables a continuous labeling process without production-related interruptions, thereby increasing efficiency, productivity, and process reliability.
EasySplicer and AutoSplicer ensure a continuous supply of label material, while the HERMA 500, with its redundancy feature, further safeguards the labeling process itself against malfunctions and failures. All three solutions can be flexibly integrated into new or existing production lines.
