Frequently asked questions about weather-resistant labels

  • What are film labels and what are the applications of outdoor labels?

    Film labels are an ideal alternative to paper labels when you need a product for special applications and surfaces. They are perfect for use under difficult conditions. Robust and strongly adhesive, they have countless indoor and outdoor applications. Choose between paper labels and film labels depending on the intended use. Weather-resistant film labels should always be preferred if you are dealing with moist, cold, hot or dirty surfaces.

    You can design and print outdoor labels with Label Assistant Online and use them for a variety of purposes. Film labels are perfect for the following applications:

    • ● Outdoor areas around the house, e.g. on mailboxes or in the garden
    • ● Letters and packages
    • ● Surfaces that are exposed to harsh weather
    • ● Cosmetics and chemical products
    • ● Public signage, such as no-parking signs and dustbins
    • ● Product labels, price labels and shipping labels

     

    Designing labels is easy with our free online software. Select a product from our large range of colours, materials and formats. You have a choice of weather-resistant paper, matt film, polyethylene and polyester film, depending on the labelling conditions. The label material can be matt or glossy. The available colours are yellow, gold, silver, transparent and white.

    When you have decided on a label, click on “Design online”. LabelAssistant Online will open a blank template to which you can add text, images, logos, barcodes and QR codes. The template is already correctly formatted. All you have to do is arrange the content.

    When you’re finished, use the print preview to check whether the elements are properly placed and you’ve made no spelling mistakes. Download your design as a PDF file. You’re ready to print. When you buy labels, check on the package whether they can be printed with a b/w laser printer, colour laser printer, copier or inkjet printer.
