Responsibility at HERMA
Commitment to the community, health and Germany as a business location
Communities thrive when everyone is committed to the general well-being and cooperates to reach a goal.

Public commitment
HERMA is committed to helping people who, for whatever reasons, find it difficult or impossible to participate actively in the life of the community. We also provide support to local associations and organisations. Here you’ll find a selection of the organisations and projects that HERMA has supported in recent years. We also hold regular get-togethers for new employees to promote a feeling of community within the company.

Social standards
We care about the health of our employees. For this reason, HERMA has established a company health management scheme that includes numerous sport and fitness offerings. Examples are company sports clubs, “active breaks” and a cooperation agreement with a local gym. We also have numerous offerings pertaining to nutrition, preventive healthcare, therapy, relaxation and coping with stress.

Investments in Germany
HERMA does business throughout the world. But Germany is very important to us as a production location. Recently, we invested more than 100 million euros in order to combine all three divisions at one location. In Filderstadt we operate what is arguably the most advanced facility in the world for labellers and labelling machines. We have also built a new coating plant for adhesive material. Here in Germany we are investing in our employees, our production facilities and our future.

High-quality training
Good training paves the way to the future – not only for individual careers, but for Germany as an industrial location. HERMA offers attractive training in occupations recognised by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, plus training positions for students at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) in Stuttgart. In addition to providing excellent basic knowledge for an occupation, we put a strong emphasis on the personal development of our trainees. For those who have completed an apprenticeship we offer further training opportunities inside and outside the company.

Long-term dependability
HERMA has been a family-owned company for over 110 years. We believe in the importance of long-term relationships – with our employees, business partners, customers and service providers. Our employees benefit from ongoing training opportunities such as the training café, a skills development programme for networking, teaching and building skills, and much more. We are continually optimising our work processes and products for the benefit of our business partners and customers. Our innovations contribute fresh ideas for a brighter future.
