Application and use
The adhesive has been specifically developed for glass bottles, for example in beverage and food industry applications, which are processed in standard reusable systems. In industrial washing plants, the label can be removed without residue at approx. 80 °C using a 1–2% NaOH solution, allowing the glass bottles to be recycled without contamination.
Tests indicate that good wash-off performance is maintained even after several months of outdoor weathering. However, since wash-off performance may be affected by uncontrollable factors such as printing, storage, or extended weathering, which cannot be influenced by HERMA, the specific application conditions and the wash-off behavior of the printed label should always be verified in advance.
Storage conditions and shelf life
Storing at a temperature of 20 ± 5 °C, a relative humidity of 45 ± 5 % and a dark storage is recommended. Moisture, heat and direct sunlight have to be avoided.
