  • Which printing methods are supported by HERMA’s logistics adhesive materials?

    Our portfolio covers all standard printing technologies used in the logistics sector:

    • Direct thermal: Extensive range from the HERMAtherm series.
    • Thermal transfer: Excellent printability, e.g. with HERMAtransfer (226) or HERMAweiß super (240).
    • Laser & inkjet printing: Speciality papers and films such as HERMAlaser Sheet (135) or HERMA PP Inkjet (821).
    • Digital printing: Optimised films such as HERMA PP White Digital (877) for HP Indigo.
  • Can existing labels or incorrect barcodes be covered with opaque stickers?

    Yes, we offer special opaque label materials for this purpose (e.g. HERMAextracoat opaque 242 or HERMAlaser sheet opaque 135). The dark coating on the reverse side completely covers old or faulty barcodes and address details, thereby preventing misreads during the automated sorting process.

  • How does HERMA adhesive material support the recycling of cardboard packaging and reusable containers?

    For corrugated board and cardboard boxes, we offer paper-based, single-material solutions that do not adversely affect the waste paper recycling process (e.g. in the pulper). For reusable plastic transport containers, we offer either extremely durable films designed for long-term use across many wash cycles, or easily washable/removable adhesives that can be removed without leaving any residue when the crates are washed.

     

  • Are the adhesive composites optimised for automatic high-speed dispensing systems?

    Yes, downtime is costly in modern logistics centres. Thanks to our precise coating technology, we work with extremely tight adhesive tolerances. This prevents so-called ‘bleeding’ (adhesive seeping out at the die-cut edges), protects your printing and dispensing equipment from contamination, and ensures smooth operations at high cycle rates.
