HERMA FSC® Certification

HERMA has been awarded the FSC® seal for its self-adhesive materials. The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) is an international certification system for forest management. Ten globally valid principles guarantee that wood and paper products bearing the FSC® seal originate from responsibly managed forests. The FSC® standard stipulates that all of the forest's ecological functions must be preserved when it is managed. It also protects flora and fauna within the managed areas and safeguards the rights of any indigenous people and also workers.

HERMA Cycle4Green

It is certified that HERMA is a partner of C4G Recycling and actively reduces the waste of backing paper. Cycle4Green focuses on the recycling of backing paper. Many customers from various manufacturing industries have already chosen C4G Recycling. RoHS directive 2015/863/EC

To restrict the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment This EU directive aims to minimize the amount of waste on electrical and electronic equipment at the end of its service life. The guideline sets targets for the collection, reuse and recycling of all types of electrical products. In the manufacture of its products, HERMA does not use the above-mentioned substances listed in 2015/863 / EC, neither as input nor as additives.

European Chemicals Regulation - REACH (1907/2006/EC)

The REACH regulation is a regulation of the European Union, which was enacted in order to improve the protection of human health and the environment against the risks that can arise from chemicals and at the same time to increase the competitiveness of the chemical industry in the EU. HERMA assures that currently and in the future only raw, auxiliary and finishing materials are used that are legally on the market, i.e. that are properly registered in accordance with the REACH regulation.

About packaging and packaging waste

According to the European directive on packaging and packaging waste, the concentration of heavy metals lead, cadmium, mercury and chromium (VI) compounds must not exceed the maximum value of 100 ppm. The toy standard EN71 Part 3 and the CONEG specifications also provide for a maximum value for the above-mentioned heavy metals of 100 ppm. In the manufacture of its products, HERMA does not use lead, cadmium, mercury and chromium (VI) compounds either as input or as additives.
