Logimat: Sustainable labelling, economic benefits

• At LogiMAT 2026, HERMA will demonstrate that label solutions can be both more sustainable and more cost-effective.

• One focus of the trade fair presentation is the liner-free InNo-Liner material, which DHL, among others, already uses successfully for shipping labels.

• Also in focus: solutions for the quantity- and resource-optimised procurement of sophisticated hazardous goods labels and roll labels for all industries.

At LogiMAT 2026, HERMA will be demonstrating how labels can be made more sustainable and cost-effective at the same time with a range of intelligent solutions (Hall 2, Stand D11). The focus will be on significant material and waste savings, as well as opportunities for economically optimised procurement of small and medium quantities. The latter can help to avoid cost- and resource-intensive overstocking. A special focus is on the HERMA InNo-Liner material, which does not require any backing material for shipping and logistics labels. This not only avoids waste, but also improves cost-effectiveness. DHL, for example, has already confirmed the benefits in practice: "We can reduce waste by around 60 per cent and it is around 40 per cent cheaper than conventional labelling systems." The linerless label material is applied and activated by the HERMES QL, an application device developed by cooperation partner cab specifically for HERMA InNo-Liner. Particularly convenient for trade fair visitors: the cab stand is located in the immediate vicinity (Hall 2, Stand D21). This means that interested parties can obtain information about both materials and applications directly from the respective specialists. In addition, the HERMA portfolio also includes classic linerless labels made of thermal paper, offering solutions for the entire spectrum of modern linerless applications – from innovative InNo-Liner material to classic linerless labels.

Hazardous goods labels also available in batch size 1

HERMA also pursues the goal of consistently combining sustainability and cost-effectiveness in the labelling of hazardous goods and substances. In order to offer hazardous goods labels even in small and very small quantities – and thus in a resource-saving manner – at attractive conditions, HERMA has entered into a strategic cooperation with BOXLAB Services. The company specialises in hazardous goods labelling, has a particularly high level of expertise in this area thanks to its close cooperation with BASF, and is also represented at LogiMAT in the immediate vicinity of HERMA (Hall 2, Stand D18). Within the cooperation, HERMA is responsible for the development and production of suitable labels due to its comprehensive expertise in adhesives and materials. BOXLAB Services is responsible for the packaging and logistics of the labels, in many cases from batch size 1. This also applies, for example, to labels that must be seawater-resistant in accordance with the provisions of British Standard 5609, Sections 2 & 3. HERMA offers a comprehensive range of materials for this requirement, which have been specially developed for the labelling of transport containers with hazardous goods.

Configure roll labels cost-effectively online

HERMA also demonstrates how small and medium-sized runs of labels on rolls can be configured individually, quickly and cost-effectively for all industries with its online label configurator. Properties, number of varieties and quantity are entered with real-time price display – no hidden costs. This enables maximum transparency. At the same time, the shape, size, winding and printing of the labels can be freely selected and are immediately visible, thus creating maximum design freedom. Highly automated processes ensure attractive pricing and short delivery times within a few days. A free print data check offers additional security. With its appearance at LogiMAT, HERMA is once again underlining its role as an innovative partner for efficient, sustainable and economical labelling solutions.
