However, schnapps labels also carry important information for the consumer, e.g. the legally required labelling. The sales description, net quantity and alcohol content must be legible at a glance without having to turn the bottle. It is therefore particularly important that the label adheres securely and that the print remains clearly legible in the long term.

Which material is right for your schnapps labels, gin labels and liqueur labels?
You decide! Depending on the effect you want to achieve, labels made of paper or film can be used.
The labels should look good even after a long time, as the contents are often drunk over a long period of time. They must be resistant to moisture and temperature and must not be discoloured by alcohol if a drop is spilt when pouring.
- Paper labels are an inexpensive option, but they should definitely be made more durable by applying a protective coating or laminating film.
- Labels made of supple white film, in matt or glossy, are of high quality and give the bottles an elegant appearance. They can be wiped clean without leaving stains on the labels.
- A no-label look can be achieved with transparent labels; the imprint appears to be printed directly onto the bottle. This effect is particularly attractive on light-coloured bottle material and light-coloured contents.

- PE film, white, glossy, permanently adhesive:
The glossy film surface gives your spirits a particularly elegant look. Schnapps labels made of film adhere securely and are particularly supple, ideal for bottles of any size. They are resistant to dirt and moisture. - PE film, transparent, glossy, permanently adhesive:
Transparent schnapps labels offer a no-label look, which is particularly attractive on transparent bottles with light-coloured contents. This film also adheres securely and is flexible on curved surfaces and resistant to dirt and moisture. (For transparent labels, please note the information on the use of opaque white in the digital print data). - Paper, matt, strongly adhesive:
Paper labels are less expensive than film labels, but should definitely be made more resistant with protective varnish or laminating film. The adhesive is securely adhesive in damp and chilled areas. This is particularly important for the label on egg liqueur, as it should be kept refrigerated after opening.
All label materials used comply with the recommendations of BfR XIV or FDA 21 CFR 175.105.
How do liquor bottle labels become durable, smudge-proof and scratch-resistant?
For liquor labels, the printed image should always be finished with protective varnish or laminating film. This makes the print smudge-proof and scratch-resistant and provides additional protection against moisture and dirt.
You can choose a matt or glossy protective coating and laminating film - whichever suits your product better. A matter of taste - just like the contents of the bottle! Both versions ensure a special appearance on your bottles.
If you want to print additional information onto the schnapps labels with a thermal transfer printer in the production process - for example a batch number - please choose the matt protective lacquer or the matt lamination film.
