The adhesive material and labels segments have been subject to certification in accordance with strict FSC^® guidelines since 2012 (FSC-110972). In this way, environmentally friendly labels are created right from the start: all production steps in the process can be traced, from the selection of certified base paper to the coating of the adhesive material and the label.

The Forest Stewardship Council^® (FSC^®) is an international certification system for forest management. Ten globally valid principles guarantee that wood and paper products with the FSC^® seal come from responsibly managed forests. The FSC^® standard stipulates that all of the ecological functions of a forest must be preserved when managing that forest. The standard also protects flora and fauna within the cultivated areas and safeguards the rights of any indigenous people and of employees.
