At the same time, the label serves as a closure for the takeaway packaging and prevents the takeout box from being opened before purchase - a tamper-evident seal that is important for product safety and an undamaged label signals additional freshness to the consumer. The curved surfaces and edges of the packaging place high demands on the adhesive strength of the takeout box label.

To make opening easier for the consumer, the labels for takeaway packaging, which also serve as a closure, can also be equipped with perforations that make it easier to tear open the edge of the packaging.
