Two-in-one: Labels for sealing & labelling in the non-food sector

Labels on products are not only the first impression for the consumer, but also contain important information, e.g. the barcode for the cash register in the trade, or after-sales information for the consumer. 

Often, different variants of a product, e.g. different colours or shapes (as in the example of the small transparent tin with beads for hobby use) are offered in a unit pack, which brings enormous advantages in the procurement of containers and in the warehouse.

The self-adhesive label with individual marking turns standard packaging into individual product packaging. This is also a particularly simple and efficient way.

But the label can do even more: thanks to its individual shape, it can also seal the containers securely until they are opened for the first time.

In the case of the cotton swab packaging in the example picture, the label also has a sealing function and should still be easy to open.

The insulating tape packaging is an example of how coloured pre-printed labels securely seal products in packaging films at the same time.

In the case of wrapping paper, the self-adhesive combination label with its sealing function even represents the packaging itself, so that the previously customary shrink-wrapping or wrapping in film can be completely dispensed with.

These are just a few examples of packaging solutions - the requirements for the combination label for labelling, marking and sealing are as diverse as the products and their packaging - and require individual solutions.

For this purpose, we can use completely colour-printed labels for products that we produce for you on modern digital printing machines.

Or unprinted labels that are individually printed with all the article information in your production process, for example in thermal transfer printing, as with the pearl can.

Colour-printed labels that are subsequently printed at your premises, e.g. with the lot number or date of manufacture in the production process, are also possible.

Perforations or non-adhesive deactivated areas in the label make the initial opening easy for the consumer.The closure area of the product closure labels can be fully adhesive or, by partially deactivating the pressure-sensitive adhesive, have a non-adhesive area that is particularly easy for the consumer to cut through, for example by turning the lid.In addition, additional perforations in the closure area of the label can further facilitate the initial opening, as can be seen in the cotton bud packaging.

Non-food packaging with these requirements is as varied as the products packaged in it - and we work with you to develop the required combination label for labelling and sealing just as individually. Taking the packaging and labelling systems into account, we design the right label shape with you and select the right adhesive material for the packaging surface.

We can also do a great deal for the sustainability of your packaging: label materials of the same material (e.g. PP label for PP packaging) are available for single-variety recycling, e.g. of plastic packaging. Materials that can be removed from the packaging can also be used.
