HERMA HERMAsuperTack (63Vst) – Maximum adhesive strength
With HERMAsuperTack (63Vst), HERMA presents a world first in the field of low-migration adhesive materials: for the first time, a completely resin-free adhesive is used that offers exceptionally high initial adhesion (tack) right from the start – even under extreme conditions.
Extremely high tack for the most demanding applications
Specially developed for high dispensing speeds – even in blow-on processes – the 63Vst impresses with its outstanding immediate adhesion. It is the ideal solution for:
- Film surfaces / film packaging
- Damp, greasy or slightly dirty surfaces
- Particularly difficult substrates
- Three-dimensional and irregularly shaped packaging
The adhesive demonstrates its strengths particularly at low temperatures: it adheres reliably to polar and non-polar surfaces at 0 to +2 °C and retains its performance even at temperatures as low as –20 °C. At the same time, its temperature resistance also allows the labelling of recently heated foods, where heat and moisture accumulate under the packaging film.
Despite its extremely high tack, 63Vst can be processed as efficiently and reliably as a conventional dispersion adhesive.
On the way to zero migration
Since resin content in particular influences the migration potential, HERMA consistently uses a resin-free formulation for 63Vst. The result: a particularly low-migration solution with a correction factor of 2 and approval for dry, moist and fatty foods.
This makes the adhesive suitable for labels on uncut sausage or raw ham, among other things – even without an additional barrier layer in the packaging.
This is made possible by innovative multi-layer technology that allows resins to be dispensed with without compromising initial or final adhesion.
Economical alternative
HERMAsuperTack (63Vst) is a powerful and economical alternative to existing adhesive systems such as S477 or S277 – especially where maximum adhesive strength and the highest level of food safety are required.
